What started as a dream—one local contractor leaving a tech career to build two backyard homes and a goal of someday creating 100—has grown into one of Seattle’s most trusted names in DADUs. Ballard Backyard Cottages now has sixteen completed projects across the city and a full year’s worth of new builds in design or permitting.
Beyond beautiful construction, their mission is deeply human: helping homeowners make dreams come true—aging in place, staying close to family, creating guest spaces, or building passive income by creating a short-term rental business.
Since partnering with See Spot Run in 2021, Ballard Backyard Cottages has expanded its online presence, brand visibility, and client pipeline—powered by consistent content, social storytelling, and a site that stays fresh and functional year-round. SSR manages the full web presence—social media, monthly blog posts, content updates, video and photo shoots, and ongoing site maintenance—ensuring every touchpoint reflects their craftsmanship and keeps potential clients engaged.
Seattle Children’s PlayGarden is a nonprofit that builds community through inclusive outdoor play. We helped them extend that spirit online — through a refreshed, accessible website and a series of branded fundraising videos that captured their mission in motion.

Throughout COVID, we continued to produce testimonial videos for NSD. To continue video production, we recorded interviews via Zoom and edited the footage into short videos to maintain outreach and keep the brand alive during that time.
